Summer Vaca Time!

Okay, so I know that summer doesn't officially start until Memorial Day. But, I went to the Jimmy Buffet concert in April and have been ITCHING to go to the beach ever since. So, I made a call to my Mommy, and we took the kids and my sister to Orange Beach for a little long beach weekend. And, now that its almost summer-time, I have alot of other little trips in the works. We're going to take the babes to see  my dad in Hilton Head in June, Jake and I are going to take a weekend trip to see The Eagles, and possibly a little NYC trip in August. YAY for summertime!!!

And I'm forwarning, I only took a gazillion cute pictures from our recent beach trip and will be posting this week! - here's a sample.

With all these trips comes traveling - and gas. I buy ALOT of gas. I have the sweetest little Nissan Rogue that I bought because I travel so much for my job. And I buy a lot of gas. Sometimes I have to fill up every day. So, there is that, and add to that these super-awesome trips coming up, and this girl needs some gas discounts somewhere. Thats where Kroger comes in - yay!

We are on a much needed vacation for a few days. My water-bug kids love it!!

Let's Talk Instashopping.

Instashopping. What is it exactly? Its like a web-based super awesome consignment sale. Basically users create an instagram account as their "shop". Then they take picture of the stuff they want to sale and post it on Instagram. People that want to puchase their items comment with their paypal address, then the shop invoices them through Paypal and ships it to you. Easy and awesome!!!

You guys know how much I love consignment sales. I mean, LOVE them. This season, for the first time, I didn't shop at any of them (well, maybe one) and I didn't sell anything either. I have been selling everything through Instagram!

Another great thing about it in the selection! I follow hundreds of shops and and a running feed of items. I can choose if I want to purchase or not. I have met so many wonderful women through Instashopping and have received some amazing clothes for Josh and Jules (and me too!) I highly recommend it. The Weekly Project - Sleeping Beauty

Jules is in a princess phase. She is in a "I want to wear my tutu every hour of every day but why can't I wear it to school can I sleep in it?" phase. I honestly don't know how it's happened! They don't sit still long enough to watch movies, so her only exposure to them in her dolls and books. But, man! She's in love. She is dying to take "princess" lessons. (not sure they offer them around here..) hmmm....

Last night she wore here tutu to bed, and when I went up to check on her...I had to grab my camera. Pure beauty and innocence. A Sleeping Beauty :)

Dear Julesie, 

You are a precious, tenderhearted smart little girl. You are MY girl. WE are "girls". We are alike in so many ways, and I adore every second of it. You are obsessed with being a princess and a ballerina right now. Your favorite place to dance in on the rug in the foyer, so people can sit on the stairs and watch you. Mommy will find you some princess lessons if its the last thing I do precious girl.

So...this is a milestone

There are certain things you dream about when you have a little girl of your own. Going to tea parties, girly lunches, and getting pedicures. Of course if you are MY daughter the day will also come when we make our first trip to NYC and go see our first broadway show together :)

But I digress... Last week was a first for Jules and I. A big one!!! We have crossed that milestone experience off our list of getting pedicures together. Jules had water, I white wine. I got my signature red toes while she opted for blue polish with white flowers. (She also got her fingers painted orange, go figure!)

All in all it was so great! She sat there for 45 minutes and loved every second. I didn't have my good camera with me but I did take a few shots with my phone.

Potty Training...Again

This week we are potty training this guy. Whew. Let's be honest. With twins, I probably should have done it closer to the same time. Jules got potty trained right at 2 years old. They turned three in January and we are just now doing Josh. He honestly was ready at 2.5 and that's when his window was. Absolutely. But, we were moving/renovating, and I was already getting so tired of taking Jules to the potty ever 5 seconds, so let's be honest...I didn't want to do it. At that point I didn't care if he peed in a diaper until he was 15. So, now...its hard. He is lazy and too busy to be bothered with going to the potty. He knows exactly what to do, he just chooses to sometimes. Pray for him...and me...and bring wine.
