Happy Valentine's Day

Coming from the most ANTI-Valentine's Day person on the planet, I do wish you all the best.

I thought it would be fun to take the kids put on a date night. We decided to let them experience Hibachi for the first time. They loved it! They were mesmerized by the fire, and actually ate most things. Success!!!

My sweet family. Josh was most excited about his "peeps" getting in the pic.

Happy VD.

Happy Valentine's Day From Jules (not Josh)

On Monday, I thought it would be fun to do an impromptu Valentines Day shoot. It's kind of become a tradition, although I haven't realized it. It just has I suppose. Here is last's year's and the year before if you want to see how stinking adorbs they are.

This year only one kid wanted to partake in my oh-so-fun shoot. The other wanted NO PART OF IT, and in fact threw one heck of a fit about it. So, this year, I only have one lovely, sweet child who wanted to take pics. So, Jules got her own private photoshoot, which let's be honest isn't going to happen often in her twin-riffic life :) (and let's be even honest-er, she loved every second of it)

Wearing our favorite Matilda Jane. This one is the Homegrown Betsy dress, with the sweetheart leggings

Oh look! I even set up the tripod! and I'm not even going to think about how my hair is a disaster and my cardigan is wrinkled. One of this year's resolutions is to get in more pics with my kiddos. So, this is the first one. yippee!

we are ALL IN on American Girl right now. She got Isabelle for Christmas, and Samantha (my FAVE) for her birthday. Those are her "girls", and she loves them so much. (and there is a separate post dedicated to this oh so crazy fun world of American Girl that we are now a part of)

Our Weekend

This weekend was another crazy, but fun weekend! First was their little school Valentine's Party. So stinking cute.
Josh really is happy - promise!

My sister sings every Valentine's weekend in Knoxville in a band called The White Cosbys, and my brother-in-law plays the keyboard. It is so much dang fun. They kind of call it an 80's Prom Night. Most of the songs are those fabulous songs that you can't forget from the 80's and 90's. Here is a post from another performance.

It was a fun night as always, and super late as always lol. I swear my poor body can't do that much anymore. Ha!!

Saturday night we were back in Nashville (whew) because Grama and Papa got them tickets to Disney Jr Live for their birthday. There are so many of these little shows that come to Nashville. While I'll never support a circus of any kind, I feel compelled to want to go to all of these shows lol. We've done Super Why (our first one - Fun), Thomas the Train (not great), Sesame Street (not fun), Disney on Ice (super great), Fresh Beat Band (freaking awesome), and now Disney Jr. It was okay. It was fun, but a little boring, and I usually love this kind of stuff. And also as I type this out I really we need to tone down our shows lol. In our defense they are usually gifts from grandparents :) Plus, because we just did Magic Kingdom when we went to Disney, I felt we needed to go see Jake and the Pirates and Sophia the First, because my kids are sooooo obsessed with both of them.

Naturally, we had to wear our Sophia dress and Jake shirt! (Josh didn't want to completely wear his Jake costume)

Impromptu Valentine's Day Photoshoot and Giveaway!

I am probably the most anti-Valentine's Day person ever. Blame it on growing up without having a boyfriend, and feeling sorry for myself while everyone else got flowers. It still stings. And even though I am now happily married and have been for several years, I still don't enjoy the hype. Like, at all.

However, I have discovered that Valentine's Day is perfect for kiddos! Cute outfits, cute school Valentine's, photoshoot? Sign me up!!

I was recently approached by Girl's Crochet Headbands. I took a look at their website and was blown away. Not only do they have precious things like rompers, tutus, leggings, and headbands, they are super affordable! I couldn't believe I have bought similar things elsewhere. They sent me a few things for Jules to try, and naturally, they were perfect for a Valentine's photo shoot!!

The folks at GCH have given me a special discount code to offer you 20% off for a limited time on all purchases. Use coupon code babys20 (case sensitive). You've got 10 days to take advantage of this, so go shop here. Coupon code will expire on March 1, 2013.

Her personality through and through!

this one's a framer.

this one is typical

My girl

and sometimes you get  the most perfect shots simply by tickles on the bed :)

the lovely Shana of Florabella Collections talks all the time about the importance of talking pictures of your kids with toys. Well, this is so typical of Josh. He is a packrat/homeless person/hoarder. Just take a gander of all her has: Pumpkin trick-or-treater, LIGHT BULB, Cookies, ball, suction toy, and a piece off his car racetrack (the orange thing)

My man.
